GameSynth 2021.1 Released!

We are thrilled to announce the release of GameSynth 2021.1!

This new version bridges the gap between procedural audio and more traditional sound design, making procedural generation easier to use and finally accessible to all. This is our 5th massive update, and as always it is entirely free! Click on the video below to see some of the new features and improvements!

NEW REPOSITORY

GameSynth’s new repository gives instant access to the largest collection of procedural audio models for games, animations, and movies.

For the first time, sound designers can browse procedural audio models like they would browse their sample libraries; organizing , searching, and previewing sounds in one click, but with all the advantages afforded by procedural generation, such as infinite sound variations, dynamic control, ultra-light memory footprint and more.

FULL UCS SUPPORT

Support for the Universal Category System (UCS) across the tool also allows sound designers to organize, find, and render models based on well-defined categories and subcategories.

NEW HELP CENTER

For the sound designers, animators or game developers who are new to GameSynth and procedural audio, the Help Center drastically flattens the learning curve by providing access to the latest documentations, video tutorials and blog posts, directly within the tool.

NEW MODULES

Advanced users will enjoy the new modules added to the Modular model. They include generators such as Friction to simulate contact sounds, Sine Bank to perform additive synthesis, and Chaos for harsher, unstable sounds. New processors such as Resonator – great for physical modeling – and Frequency Shifter have also been added.
Finally, Perlin Noise and other control modules will help you drive the parameters of your patch. In total, the Modular model of GameSynth now offers 120 synthesis modules specifically adapted to sound design for games and animations.

UX IMPROVEMENT

The user interface in the Modular model has also been improved for maximum productivity; with new module toolbars, instant Smart Replace, drag and drop of curves between modules, import and export of module sections and more!

SKETCH PAD SCRIPTING

Finally, Sketch Pad scripting – available in all models, from Whoosh to Particles and VoiceFX and the others – makes it possible to draw complex mathematical curves to drive the synthesized sounds, and to input pressure information even without using a graphic tablet.
